On Wednesday, the Andhra Pradesh High Court quashed the writ petition requesting postponement of the APPSC Group-1 Mains Exams. The Bench, after reviewing the written petition submitted to the hearing on Wednesday, directed the APPSC authorities to conduct the APPSC Group-I (descriptive type) examinations from the 14th of this month as scheduled.
According to sources, 1,327 candidates who had recently qualified for the Group-1 mains examination requested that the government postpone the examination by three months, arguing that they had only been given 45 days to prepare for the examination scheduled from 14 to 20 December. On the basis of an earlier HC order, the APPSC Board updated the response key and released a new list of eligible applicants. However, as far as chosen candidates are concerned, they have not been given enough time to prepare for the exams.
