JD (Vijay) is a drunkard college professor who is adored by students but his colleagues want him out of college. JD supports student elections in college and later resigns taking responsibility for a violence outbreak after the declaration of results. Vijay will be transferred as Master to a correction center (jail) to handle the studies of young criminals. After a tragic incident in the correction centre, JD changes himself and confronts Bhavani(Vijay Sethupathi), who is misusing the children of correction centre. The rest of story deals with how JD saves the children and youngsters of correction centre from Bhavani.

- Vijay was shown differently with less elevations unlike his other movies
- Vijay Sethupathi was flawless in acting as usual.
- Malavika was beautiful and convincing in her not so big role
CONS
- Poor Love track between Vijay and Malavika
- No scope for Actresses (Malavika Mohanan and Andrea)
- Few typical mass scenes which are generally added to please Tamil audience.
- Very less Hero-villan confrontation scenes between Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi
