Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra is based on the book “Simply Fly” which is the journey of a boy born in a remote village, who built India’s first and largest low-cost airlines “Deccan Air”. Chandra Mahesh aka Maha (Suriya) is a well-educated and ambitious son of a schoolteacher, hails from a village near Tsundur in Guntur. Maha always dreams of starting an airline. For this, he studies the pilot course and becomes one. As time passes by, he along with his friends, leave their jobs and pursue the dream of launching India’s first low-cost airline Deccan Air. To achieve his dream Maha borrows Rs.15 thousand from his wife Baby (Aparna Balamurali) to register the company. But Paresh Goswami (Paresh Rawal), a pioneer in the industry, feels a threat by the emerging Deccan Air, and he makes sure to create enough hurdles for Chandra Mahesh’s airline to take-off. The rest of the story is as to how Chandra Mahesh fulfills his dream of launching Deccan Air and what problems does he face in his journey.
