    Indian Fruits and Vegtables with High Water Content above 90%

    More than 70% of Human body consists of fluids. Due to this it is important to stay hydrated all the time. During winter season, our bodies tend to get dehydrated very quickly due to the lack of external moisture. During summers, the body might be loaded with enough liquids but the heat outside tends to drain the water levels from the body. In both seasons, it is important for each one of us to consume enough fluids to stay hydrated. Apart from drinking water we can eat high water content foods to keep the hydration level of our body optimal.

    Here is a list of Fruits and Vegtables with hight water content (above 90%) that are easily available in all corners of India.

    Cucumber

    Water percentage : 96%

    Cucumber is one of the most widely available vegetables in India with water Content above 96 %. Being available almost every season, this vegetable can be consumed raw, fermented,l or with salads to add hydrate the body.

    Tomatoes

    Water percentage : 94 – 95%

    Tomato is one of the most widely available vegitables in the world. This bright red vegetable contains high water content and a high dose of antioxidants. The Health benefits list is good enough for anyone to consume throughout the year. Tomatoes can be consumes or Raw as a fruit.

    Radish

    Water percentage : 95%

    A raw radish is about 95% of water, 3% carbohydrates, 1% protein, and has negligible fat. The root vegitable is consumed throughout the world, being mostly eaten raw as a crunchy salad vegetable with a pungent flavor.

    Capsicum

    Water percentage : 94%

    Capsicum is widely called as Bell Pepper. Bell pepper is available in different colours all around the world. While the Green one has a water content of 94%, other colour Bell Papers has water content between 91-92%.

    Cabbage

    Water percentage : 93%

    The fresh white cabbage has a water content of about 93%. However, the vegitable is not preferably consumed raw.

    Spinach

    Water percentage : 92-93%

    This green leafy vegetable, not only aids in bettering the eyesight and provide enough iron, but also helps people stay hydrated with its high water level content.

    Cauliflower

    Water percentage : 92%

    Cauliflower has a High water content percentage. Typically, only the head (called curd) is eaten. This vegitable is not preferably consumed raw.

    Watermelon

    Water percentage : 91-92%

    The name of fruit itself tells us that it is filled with water. In general, all the melons have high water content.

    Grapes

    Water percentage : 91%

    Grapes, Watermelons and strawberries are three fruits frequently included in the bottled juice blends sold in grocery stores. And with 91% of water content, it’s easy to see why.

    Strawberries

    Water percentage : 91-92%

    Strawberries are not only antioxidant rich fruits, they also have high water content percentage. Strawberries also aid in regulating the blood sugar response in active individuals.

    Water percentage : 86%

    Apples

    Water percentage : 86%

    Pine Apples

    Water percentage : 86%

    Mangoes

    Water percentage : 83%
